The Spanish veteran missed the last race in Italy after his crash in practice for the French MotoGP but admits he is still not 100% fit.
"I'm looking forward to getting back on the bike again," he said.
"I can't promise that I'll be at full fitness, but I'm very motivated to get out there for the first practice."
Gibernau broke his collarbone for the third time when he crashed in Saturday morning practice for the race at Le Mans, although the previous breaks did not affect the latest injury.
"The collarbone is OK as they were able to see that it has no problems from the previous surgeries and the other broken part has now healed perfectly," he said at the time.
"I have broken the bone in a new place and afterwards they could see that the new plate and the screws have been fitted well to the bone. So now we just have to wait, prepare physically and that is our main goal."
