Polaris World rider Bradley Smith is hoping he can challenge at the MotoGP in Jerez after mechanical problems plagued his bike and hit his challenge in Qatar.

"Despite having to ride catch up after scoring no points in Qatar we are taking positives from that opening weekend,"

The second MotoGP of the season takes place at Jerez in Spain on 30 March, where Smith became the first Briton to take a 125cc pole in 36 years in Losail.
