A lucky rider from Glasgow will be the first owner in the UK to take delivery of Ducati’s Desmosedici RR road bike.

Ducati Glasgow will be conducting public viewings of the bike this weekend before the official handover to its owner next week.

Ducati UK says the owner was the first to place an order for the bike, having contacted Ducati before it had even taken the decision to put the motorcycle into production.

Ducati Glasgow is conducting a private viewing of the bike on Friday night for 30 guests, comprising the family and friends of the unnamed owner.

Martin Rees, owner of Ducati Glasgow, says:

I can’t tell you who’s bought it; but we’ve taken orders for 17 RRs from across Scotland.
