Ducati announce 848 launch weekend

Despite only recently making its UK debut at the International Motorcycle and Scooter Show at the NEC in Birmingham, the 848 will arrive this weekend at all 31 Ducati dealers in the UK.
Every UK dealer will have their first White 848 demonstrator on display in showrooms this Saturday, less than 24 hours after the international press launch in Spain. Visitors to Dealerships up and down the country will have chance to book test rides or just gaze in awe at this beautiful baby brother of the 1098.
When the 1098 was launched in Dealerships in the winter of 2007, the public reaction was unprecedented as visitors flocked to dealerships. Despite pouring rain and cold winds, visitors queued to see the latest Superbike creation from the Bolognese manufacturer.
The 848 is expected to create a similar stir this weekend. This middleweight Superbike certainly has the attributes to be yet another stunning success. Although the 848 has the poise of a super model, it still packs a powerful punch with vital statistics to be admired – 168kg (20kg lighter than its predecessor), 5kg lighter than a 1098, 134hp (30% more than a 749) and a power to weight ratio greater than even a 999.
The new 848 will be on display at all UK Ducati Dealerships during the launch weekend of 1st and 2nd December.
